October 2015 Events in SWFL

Fall is in full-swing and so are the events in Southwest Florida!

Did you know that October is National Seafood Month? Celebrate in style at Bayside Seafood Grill & Bar where they will be serving new dishes all week long in honor of their 25th Anniversary.

Pepper Ranch will be hosting their annual Sunflower Festival on October 3rd. Music, guided hikes through the ranch, hayrides, and food…what’s not to love?

A new program is starting at the Naples Zoo on October 13th called Toddler Tuesdays. There will be interactive play stations for parents and children ages 3-5 starting at 10 AM. Don’t forget to register on the Naples Zoo website.

On October 16th, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary will be open after hours for “Critters of the Night” where patrons experience nature’s unique night life not typical to their usual visits.

If you’re an aspiring chef, you’ll love the four day long “Foodie Camp” benefiting St. Matthew’s House. Sign up for one class, or all of them! But be careful, tickets are going fast.

Starting on October 20th, Mercato will be kicking off their free Movies on the Lawn series. A new movie will be played the third Tuesday of every month. Enjoy a classic under the stars and check their website for showings!

The weekend of October 23rd is Naples’s very own Stone Crab Festival! It has been a town favorite for years and is sure to impress all seafood-lovers.

If you’re looking for a fun trick-or-treat alternative for your kids, try out the annual Spooktacular on 5th! The event is free for all so come in your best costume and enjoy candy, games, music, and fun!
