July Events in Naples Florida

beach.jpg 2Our winter guests have gone north away from the hot, humid and rainy weather of summer here in our Naples paradise.  The events and activities are dwindling down as there are less people here to entertain.  Those of us who stay here all year are happy to enjoy our roads, restaurants and shopping areas free from the hordes of winter visitors.  The beach is still the best spot to be during these lazy days of summer but make sure you take an umbrella and lots of sunscreen.  Our sun is very strong here and sunburn is never a good experience!  There are a couple of things going on to keep us busy if the beach isn’t something you fancy.

3rd st marketThe 3rd Street Farmers Market – this market set out on 3rd Street near Campiello’s continues all through the summer every Saturday.  Enjoy people and dog watching while browsing the excellent selection of organic produce, seafood and homemade delicacies.  I purchased some mango jam here which is absolutely delicious.

Evenings on 5th Avenue and 3rd Street continue through the summer months also.

Naples pier.jpg 2A walk in Old Naples and out on the pier is always a good idea no matter the month.  I like to get up early and go before the heat and humidity set in.  The pier just after sunrise is a wonderful place to greet the morning and get your day started.  The streets all around the pier are wonderfully landscaped at this time of year and the birds are singing in the trees.  I love the early morning in Old Naples.  Give it a try; you will get exercise and some wonderful fresh air!

But remember to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of another summer in Naples!
