Is Parking Available At Naples Beaches?

In the busy months of season people think that they can’t enjoy the beach unless they live within walking distance.  However, Naples has improved parking at many of the beach areas and now everyone can enjoy a relaxing day at the beach even if they have to drive.

NON-RESIDENT BEACH PARKING PERMIT is available for people who don’t own property in Naples.  For $50 per year you can purchase a sticker that will allow you to park for free at any of the designated beach parking areas in Naples.  Visit the official Naples site or go to City Hall at 735 8th St South and purchase the sticker from the cashier.

This permit also works for the beach parking on Marco Island as it is a Collier county wide beach permit.  This is the most economical way to enjoy the beach and takes the hassle out of looking for the metered parking spaces and then running back to add more money each time the meter runs out.  There are wonderful beach access areas along Gulfshore Boulevard and in the Venetian Village area.

DELNOR WIGGINS STATE PARK has plenty of parking and is a wonderful place to spend the day.  Admission is $6 per car and you can stay for the day and enjoy a BBQ at one of the BBQ areas.  This is a great place to watch the sunset.  Showers and restrooms are available at each parking area.

LOWDERMILK BEACH PARK is located on Gulfshore Boulevard about 2 miles north of the 5th Avenue area of Old Naples.  If you have the beach parking permit you can park for free in any of the designated spots.  This beach gets very busy on weekends so plan to arrive early.  Restrooms, BBQ and picnic areas and a snack bar are available.  There are also beach tiki huts but arrive early if you want one of those!

NAPLES FISHING PIER is a wonderful experience for fishermen as it allows free fishing for anyone from the 1000 foot long pier.  Parking is a bit more difficult here as there is limited parking at the beach access.  There is plenty of on road parking in Old Naples but you might have to drive around to find a spot if the fishing is good.

VANDERBILT BEACH PARK  now offers a new 340 car multi story parking garage for added convenience.  As one of the most popular beaches in Collier County it was often difficult to get a spot but now parking has improved.  Parking in the garage is free with the beach parking permit or $8 per day for people without the permit.  Restrooms are available by the garage.
