In The Mood for Steak or Prime Rib?

connorsMy friend recently recommended Connors Steak and Seafood at Gulfcoast Town Center near the airport.  I rarely drive to Ft Myers to a restaurant but, as he offered to drive, I decided to give it a try!  If you are thinking steak or prime rib, especially prime rib, this is definitely the place to g0.

We arrived at 7pm on a very busy Saturday night.  The front of the restaurant overlooks the kitchen and there is a large bar area.  Luckily, our table was in the extreme back of the restaurant in a quiet and secluded section.  Conversation was no problem and we didn’t feel we were being overwhelmed by crowds.  Definitely ask for a table out of the action if you like a quiet meal!

Both of us ordered the prime rib and no appetizers as the meal comes with choice of salad or soup and choice of potato.  The wine list is extensive and the Pinot Grigio from Tuscany was crisp, cold and excellent.

Finally a restaurant that serves you rare prime rib when you order it!  I usually don’t order prime rib because it is always too well cooked for me, but this time mine was perfect and very tender.  A nice light seasoning around the edge set of the taste.  Both of our meals were prepared and served very well.

connorsThe menu includes a good variety of seafood as well as steak and poultry and pasta.  I might try a seafood dish next time but it will be hard to turn down having the prime rib again!

At the end of the evening I decided it was worth the trip to Ft Myers especially as I didn’t have to drive!

Remember it is always toasty in Naples and you deserve your piece of Naples sunshine and sometimes some prime rib!
