Experts Agree: Now Is The Time To Buy A House!

According to the experts don’t sign that lease to renew your rental for another year, instead sign a contract to buy a home!

A recent article at NPR states:neighborhood

“Economists see several reasons why 2015 might be a banner year for homebuying – and not just in San Francisco and Miami.”

In essence the article points out that employees are hiring and our economy is on the rise with no apparent sight of a downturn.  Rents are rising in every city, especially here in Naples where our rental rates have seen a huge increase due to lack of inventory.  Many millenials are still living in their parents house and with a steady and stable job, they are now anxious to get out on their own and start making their own way.  I think Mom and Dad are anxious for that also!  When they check out renting they find that with a small down payment they can own a home and their monthly payment will
actually be lower than they would throw away on rent.

An article on Consumer Affairs:

“If you have been thinking about purchasing a home, the first half of 2015 might be a good time.”

Although interest rates are expected to rise to around 5% by the end of 2015, that is still historically low.  Therefore, if you can buy in the first six months of the year you will save even more money on your monthly payments.  The government has come up with new programs to help first time homebuyers get into a home with very little money down.  In Naples we even have USDA mortgages available with no money down.

beachhouseFox Business News says:

“As rent increases, it simply makes more sense to buy a home.”

This article poses the question that rents are increasing at a much faster rate than home prices or mortgage rates.  It makes sense for someone spending their money on rent to invest in a home of their own rather than pay someone else’s mortgage each month.  They also discuss the new Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac programs that are intended to offer better closing costs to people with low downpayments.

In Naples, it is certainly true that our rent rates have increased dramatically over the last couple of years.  Even our rates for seasonal rentals have increased after many years of being stagnant and the demands for annual and seasonal rentals have increased.  Give me a call at 239-601-3174 so we can discuss your options in the buying vs renting world and let’s see if we can find you a home of your own.

Remember it is always toasty in Naples and you deserve your piece of Naples sunshine and a home of your own!
