Exciting New Restaurant On 5th Avenue Naples

tuliaLooking to enjoy a wonderful dinner while people watching on 5th Avenue?  Look no further than Tulia, a new dining experience directly on 5th Avenue.  We went with a group on July 4th and had a fabulous dinner and a great time people watching all the crowds heading to the beach for the fireworks.  Luckily we had a handy balcony on 5th Avenue to enjoy after dinner and watched the fireworks in style!

Who Is The Chef At Tulia?

Chef/Partner Vincenzo Betulia was the former head chef at Campiello’s where he earned top culinary accolades and a faithful following in Naples.  Vincenzo’s mother and father participate in the food preparation and make pastas, breads and sauces from time honored family recipes.  The Chef’s wife is the manager and his cousin Frank is also a chef at the restaurant.  This is definitely a family affair!

Tulia Is An Osteria

What is an Osteria?  In Italy an osteria is an informal tavern serving simple, homemade, local specialties and wine.  Originally they were inns that offered food and shelter to travelers and locals.  The modern osteria continues the tradition of offering great hospitality to their guests.

Happy Hour At Tulia

As you probably already know, happy hour is one of my favorite activities in Naples!  Tulia now offers happy hour at the bar with little teaser plates or as the Italians say “piatinni”.  There are also drink specials such as buy one get one on a select group of wines and beers.  Try the crispy fried pig ears as one of my group did on July 4th.  Quite tasty and unusual!  Happy hour is offered in the bar from 4 to 6.

Enjoy a wonderful meal at this great new addition to the Naples restaurant scene.  The pace is slow and relaxed so don’t expect to eat and hurry out.  Take your time and enjoy the 5th Avenue ambiance and relax with your wine and Italian peasant cuisine.  Visit www.tulianaples.com  for more information or to make a reservation.DSC_0303
