Dining On 5th Avenue – HobNob Kitchen and Bar

As I now live very close to 5th Avenue, one of my favorite things to do is walk to 5th and enjoy dinner or happy hour at one of the many fine restaurants. HobNob Kitchen and Bar is one of these restaurants I have enjoyed recently. I love to sit outside on 5th Avenue and people watch and, although they only have a couple of hobnob-naples-fl-bar-2outside tables, I have been lucky enough to get one of them most of the time. The inside of the restaurant is well-organized with the inviting bar area to the right of the door and tables spread throughout. I like the back of the restaurant for dinner seating; it is quieter and more intimate.

Their website describes their food as “American clean and fresh”. The portions are large and can certainly be shared. The beef and fish are delivered daily and the pasta is made fresh in house. They also offer gluten free items right on their main menu. Oftentimes gluten free is an afterthought in restaurants and you get a very tattered and flimsy copy of a menu with a few choices you can order. HobNob makes it easy to see and easy to choose from their gluten free items.

The staff are friendly and service is good as it is in most of the restaurants on 5th Avenue.  I know it is hard to choose when strolling down the street looking at all the menus and offerings of each restaurant.  My advice is to try them all, but HobNob’s should definitely be on your list!

Remember it is always toasty in Naples and always time to enjoy dinner on 5th Avenue in Old Naples!
