Here in southwest Florida we have to worry during the summer months as the temperature rises and we keep cranking our air conditioners higher and higher.  The winter months are a relief from energy bills for most of us as we can open the doors and windows and let mother nature cool down our homes.  Good insulation and automatic thermostats would help us also so we can raise the temperature of our house during the day but have it cooled down by the time we get home.
