August Things to Do in Naples Florida and Scenic Naples Views

2016-06-21 08.00.16As usual during the summer months, there are not a lot of planned activities during August.  The kids are back in school early in the month and I think everyone wants a breather before September hits and we gear up again for the arrival on snowbirds starting in October. I thought this month I would post some pictures of the beautiful scenery and landscaping I have seen during my morning walks in Old Naples.  The picture on the left shows 3rd St one morning last week.  Have you ever seen 3rd St with absolutely no cars on it??!  Naples is at her summer best right now, early in the morning the sky is blue, the birds are singing, flowers blooming and there is usually a small breeze to cool me 2016-06-25 09.20.14-1down some of the time.  I am very lucky to live in this wonderful paradise and I try to remember that while I am out driving or walking and not become immune to the beauty of our area.

No idea what these beautiful pink flowers are on the right but there are trees of them blooming by the pier!

2016-06-19 10.29.01Summerjazz on the Gulf – August 20th – The Betty Fox Band entertains at the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club.  This is a free concert, bring your lawn chairs and sit out on the grass or the beach.  Watch the sunset and listen to the mellow jazz.  All ages are welcome.

Who could ever get tired of looking at our beautiful beach?

2016-06-25 09.33.17The 3rd St market continues every Saturday morning.  Much scaled down from its winter counterpart but there are vendors there.  Look for it behind Tommy Bahama this summer they don’t close 3rd Street for it.  I think it is because it is shaded by the buildings for most of the morning which helps the vendors and customers alike!

2016-06-23 10.05.52A view of 5th Avenue from my favorite spot at Starbucks on 5th!  A nice cup of coffee, a gorgeous view and a beautiful blue sky!  Life is good!

2016-06-01 06.56.52And last but definitely not least; a sunrise over the pier early one morning.  Haven’t seen any dolphins lately but did see tons of tiny fish jumping out of the water one day last week.  Hopefully the dolphins will be back soon.  Who can watch dolphins play and not smile?

Hope you have enjoyed this tour around my favorite spots in Naples.  Remember it is always toasty in Naples and you deserve your piece of Naples sunshine and some beautiful scenery.
